Ordos hosted a grand light show in 10 first-tier cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, with the landmarks in CBD showing Chinese characters “Warm city Ordos welcomes you”. The city promotion video is also played on large outdoor screens in core business areas in 100 cities nationwide, including the US and France.

Ordos, a city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, was ranked one of the 2023 Happiest Cities in China recently. The cities were selected by Oriental Outlook magazine and the think tank Liaowang Institute, both run by Xinhua News Agency. The selection was based on a variety of indexes and included the process of big data collection, questionnaires and panel discussions.

Located along the Yellow River, Ordos has a long history and profound cultural foundations. It also boasts various geographical sceneries of desert and grassland and quite a livable environment.
